Greetings all, I hope you are ready for Summer and hopefully some sunshine. Soon you will start to see more City trucks out patching potholes orange barrels for construction. We are now in the midst of the budget season at City Hall, which will run through June 30, 2012. We are required to pass a balanced budget by the end of June that will take effect July 1, 2012. Please contact me and let me know if you have any thoughts about the upcoming budget.
I remain busy at City Hall and continue to serve on the Fulton Street Farmer's Market redevelopment team and will be excited to see everyone enjoying the new market this season. If you haven't driven by yet, I encourage you to do so. I continue to serve on the Kent County Land Bank Authority and am excited to be working with the Executive Director, David Allen.
This year I was appointed to serve on a diverse group of individuals examining the parks systems throughout the County and a committee charged with examining the issue of consolidation. This group will meet throughout the year and I will serve as the Vice Chair. I remain committed to doing all that I can to improve and enhance the quality of life in our City so that families and businesses want to move and stay here in our Great City
