Greetings all,

This summer has been a busy...and hot summer, which makes me even more grateful to all those who donated to help open the City pools.   I continue to work with the Friends of GR Parks as we explore ways to restructure our pool operations so that they are more sustainable and not on the chopping block each year at budget time.  

I am currently working with the Fulton Street Farmer's Market Development Committee, which is an incredible group of people committed to improving the Farmer's Market.   I have also been appointed to serve on the Land Bank Authority and am excited at what the Land Bank will be able to do in our community.  I remain committed to doing all that I can to improve and enhance the quality of life in our City so that families and businesses want to move and stay here.   

Hopefully everyone is aware of our new recycling program and the shift to a single-stream recycling center.  This has been a project that the City has been working on with the the County for a few years - for which the County led the way in making happen.   The facility is incredible and if you are interested in seeing it, please let me know.   If you have any questions, thoughts, ideas or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
